Q&A: how long after a yeast infection can i start using tampons?

Question by wine red: how long after a yeast infection can i start using tampons?
i think tampons may have given me a yeast infection. it’s been treated and the symptoms seem to have went away this past wednesday night.
when can i start using tampons again?
my next period should be in a few days to a week.

right away, but you might want to wait a few days because you are still sensitive up there, you might still be a little swollen.

but if you think that the tampon was the cause of the yeast infection you dont want to continue to use them,
you can be having an allergic reaction to the tampon ( the fabric thats used to make tampons)
but also you can get a yeast infection from wearing tight pants, wearing a thong, eating to much yeast, leaving discharge on your panties, or even from taking antibiotics.

What are symptoms of a yeast infection? Are they similar to symptoms of herpes?

Question by Theriie Babbiiex3: What are symptoms of a ? Are they similar to symptoms of herpes?
Well, I’ll be open about it, I have some type of . But idk what it is. I asked a friend, and she said it could be herpes, another one said it could be a yeast infection. So what are the symptoms of both, and are they similar?

I’m sure there are slight differences as far as symptoms. Usually extreme itching and some burning. One natural way to get rid of it is to not wear undergarments and eat yogurt with live active culture daily until the symptoms are gone. Usually about a week. You may want to see a doctor if you have had unprotected sex and fear you have a std tho.

How long does a yeast infection take to go away?

Question by Neon.: How long does a take to go away?
I’ve had one for the past week. It started with itching, but I didn’t do anything about it because I thought I’d used too much detergent or something. Then the discharge came, so I knew it was a yeast infection. I started taking , like acidophilus and yogurt tampons and garlic to help with itching.

The discharge is completely gone, but the itching and irritation is still very bad. Should I start fresh with monistat pills and cream or something, or will the itching clear up on its own?

My friend has a yeast infection in her belly button and no insurance, so no doctor. So, is there any way to treat it and clear it up using over the counter things?
She has been getting them since she was a teen (then she could go see a doctor though). Not overweight and not a hygeine problem either. It’s only ever there too, never goes anywhere else on her.
