Question by Leah: Is it doable to have bacterial vaginosis once again inside two weeks of treating it?
I was told I had bacterial vaginosis about a month ago. I utilised the gel antobiotic given to me by my physician for about 7-9 days as instructed. I was fine with no discharge for about 2 weeks, then i got my period. After my period i began getting some discharge once again. Is it achievable that i have bacterial vaginosis once more so soon? could it have been the tampons?

you don’t need antibiotic but now use the antifungi drugs that given by vaginal. I hope this help.
The link below says that many women have a recurring outbreak within 3 months of an initial treatment, so it’s possible that you’re getting it again.
There’s also some tips on preventing another flare up.

oh yes. most certainly yes. no women should have to experience that pain, but it happens. had it 3 times in a row…go back to the doctor, avoid tampons for a cycle or two and wear looser pants. avoid risque activities that can introduce bacteria there, and use protection.
i had major problems with it for months and found out months later of having it that my boyfriend needed to be treated too!!! the doctor didnt know/tell me, I was told by a pharmist THAT WE BOTH HAVE TO BE TREATED EVEN IF HE DOESNT SHOW ANY SIGNS!!!!anyways we both went on antobiotic(pill) cant remeber the name of it sorry, good luck
also when im stressed it will bring it on!
